Bacon-Wrapped Smokies

We first had this appetizer when our new friends, the Burkhardts, brought them to our house (we think for the Super Bowl). Now we like to have them as appetizers on Christmas Day.

Tools

  • Cookie sheet
  • Aluminon foil
  • Cooking spray
  • Toothpicks

Ingredients

  • 1 package Lit’l Smokies
  • 1 package precooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line cookie sheet with aluminon foil and spray with cooking spray.
  3. Cut each piece of bacon into half.
  4. Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until bacon is browned and brown sugar melts and forms a sauce.
