Mommy’s Banana Bread

This is the recipe for Mommy’s banana bread. Makes one loaf.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of mashed banana (3 large)
  • 3/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of vinilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions

  1. Heat the over to 325 degrees
  2. Grease a loaf pan, either 9x5x3 or 8.5×4.5×2.5 inches, with shortening, using a pastry brush
  3. Mix sugar, bananas, oil, and eggs in a large bowl with a wooden spoon. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into pan.
  4. Bake until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean, 60 to 70 minutes.
  5. Let cool 10 minutes, then loosen sides of loaf from pan and remove from pan. Let cool completely before slicing.
